BEE is an actively developing field in Hungary empowered by the National Architectural Policy. Present in the curriculum since 1980, some elements are incorporated into the visual arts, technics or environment class from early ages till high school, but BEE is not used in its complexity. Enthusiastic architects and educators organize summer workshops and after school programs. KulturAktív is the biggest umbrella organization. The Association of Hungarian Architects delegated Krisztina Somogyi to UIA. As a researcher of architecture and environmental psychology she has organized projects in schools in partnership with ELTE Doctoral School of Psychology and BME Architectural Doctorate School of Budapest.
